What is WWDC 2019?

Nicknamed 'dub dub', WWDC is typically used by Apple to showcases loads of new tech at its flashy headquarters in California.

It stands for the Worldwide Developers Conference – an annual get-together for app makers hosted by Apple.

We're expecting to see a host of new gadgets, including a souped-up Mac Pro that costs an eye-watering £3,000.

The event begins on Monday, June 3, with the main keynote kicking off at 5.30pm UK time.

, the update will finally hand Apple fans their own Dark Mode.

Dark Mode makes your screen – you guessed it – darker so looking at it at night is easier on your eyes.

It's already available on apps like Twitter and Facebook Messenger, as well as the Mac, but Apple has yet to release an iOS version.

It describes its Mac version as a "new look that’s easy on your eyes and helps you focus on your work".

The new iOS reportedly also changes up the keyboard, letting you swipe across it to form words like some Android keyboards.

iMessage is also getting an upgrade, letting you add a profile picture and display name.

An update to Apple's Health, Mail and Reminders apps are also expected.

It's also expected that Apple will finally kill off iTunes, splitting its functions across existing apps like Apple TV and Apple Music.

And there's talk of a new pair of over-ear headphones from Apple that work wirelessly like AirPods, but will be branded as StudioPods.
