PENIS PUZZLE

Google Maps exposes mysterious giant todgers carved into playing field on app

They are now being removed by the local council

GIANT penises have appeared on Google Maps carved into the grass of three separate parks in Melbourne.

The phallic shapes only become clear from high up in the sky and, as of yet, no one has claimed responsibility for their creation.

Reddit user appears to have been the first person to spot the depictions.

The giant penises are now being compared to Peru’s famous Nazca Lines, which are ancient carved symbols only visible from the air that may have been created for religious purposes.

Some anthropologists think the Nazca lines were designed to please the gods which the ancient people thought were looking down from the Sky.

However, the giant penis carvings are not having the same effect as now the local council wants to remove them.

Local councillor Susan Rennie said: "Darebin Council condemns this type of irresponsible vandalism on our parks and sports grounds. It is not a cheap joke – fixing the affected ovals is complex, costly and time-consuming.

"[The] council is taking action to remove the graffiti, but it can take months for the grass to recover, during which time our community are left using substandard grounds which can be a safety hazard."

The largest penis shape is 133 metres and has been hacked into the T W Blake Park in Melbourne’s suburb of Preston.

The three parks involved all have multiple willy images drawn at different sizes and all the parks in question are within a two mile radius of each other so it's likely that the same artist is responsible.

One theory suggests that school leavers etched the designs in 2018 as a prank.

What are the Nazca lines?

Here's some facts about the giant ancient artworks...

  • The Nazca lines are famous giant patterns that have been etched into vast areas of dry land in Peru and can only be viewed properly from the air
  • They were discovered in 1930 by some people crossing over the Nazca desert by plane
  • Geologists think that they were designed by Nazca people in the ancient era between 400 and 600 AD
  • Anthropologists think they were made to please the gods, which the Nazca people thought were looking down from the sky
  • The Nazca lines make up more than 70 different designs including geometric shapes and animals like monkeys or sharks
