IT'S A BUGGY LIFE

Nasa’s Mars rover ‘Batmobile’ concept vehicle is designed to hunt aliens on the Red Planet

Space buggy concept could carry four astronauts and comes with a detachable lab to search for extraterrestrial life

NASA has revealed an incredible new Mars rover capable of carrying four astronauts across the Red Planet.

The electric vehicle looks a bit like the Batmobile and is designed to trek across Mars in the hunt for alien life.

The angular vehicle has six massive wheels and is made entirely of carbon fibre and aluminium.

It runs on solar energy, so there's no chance of it running out of juice whilst making its way across the dusty planet.

There's even a detachable lab so its passengers can conduct experiments as they explore.

The rover is on a tour across the United States as part of Nasa's educational event called Summer of Mars.

Sadly, the rover will never roll across Mars.

But it's certain to inspire space buggies of the future.

Nasa has confirmed a mission to Mars is slated for 2033, under the instruction of President Donald Trump.

Space boffs are already conducting tests at the International Space Station (ISS) and working with private companies like SpaceX, to get their plans off the ground.

Elon Musk - who owns SpaceX - has previously claimed Mars is “a fixer-upper of a planet” and even suggested dropping nuclear bombs on its surface to heat up the atmosphere and make it suitable for human colonisation.

The first to make it there will have lots to explore.

Nasa has already spotted some mysterious gigantic structures on the surface - which stand 16 storeys high.

But perhaps they will find chilling evidence that - but has already been wiped out.
