Serial killers became scarily common between the 1970s and the early 00s, in what’s known as the golden age of serial murder. From twisted killer Dennis Nilsen, notorious for stuffing body parts down drains to Peter Sutcliffe, who anonymously terrorised Yorkshire for five years and Ted Bundy, who confessed to killing at least 30 victims between 1974 and 1978.
