Six Flags’ new 107ft viper-themed rollercoaster features ‘free spinning seats’ that makes every ride unique

SIX Flags has announced a new free spinning rollercoaster, where passengers are spun 360-degrees while riding the track.

Vipere, the first free-fly rollercoaster in Canada, will open at Six Flags La Ronde in 2020.

The rollercoaster will have four winged vehicles, each holding eight riders.

Some will face forwards and others will face backwards.

The seats are not fixed like normal rollercoasters, which allows riders to spin "freely" while speeding along the track at 37mph.

With the 360 degree spins taking place at random, each ride provides a unique experience.

Passengers will travel up to 107ft before whizzing through the rollercoaster.

The ride is being designed by Intamin, who also designed Colossus at Thorpe Park as well as Thirteen at Alton Towers.

Vipere will be the first 4D rollercoaster in Canada - where it is being remodelled from the Green Lantern: First Flight ride, which closed in 2017.

Another free-fly rollercoaster is The Joker, at Six Flags New England.

Based on the Batman franchise, guests also free-spin while riding the rollercoaster.

Another Six Flags ride is the Daredevil Dive Flying Machines, where passengers feel like "stunt pilots" as they spin through the air.

A free-spinning rollercoaster will also open next year.

The Storm Chaser ride will open at Paultons Park's new Tornado Springs attraction, a four-acre land with eight new rides.
