Tenerife: 22.3C

You can expect glorious weather all year round, but if you aren't a fan of scorching summer temperatures, March is the ideal month to visit Tenerife.

Southern Tenerife resorts such as Playa de Las Americas and Los Gigantes see temperatures creeping up into the 20s during March, with a daily average of 22.3C.

Depending on how close you are to the coast, the cool winds and light breezes make temperatures feel much cooler too, but there is practically zero chance of rain.

Egypt: 23C

With highs of 28C, Egypt is a great choice for a March holiday.

The subtropical desert climate means there is low - if any - rainfall in March, so you won't need to pack your coats.

Egypt is less than a five-hour flight from the UK, so you don't need to spend too long on a plane to get to some sunny weather.

For a beach holiday, you should head to Hurghada or Sharm El Sheikh.

Cape Verde: 25.7C

If you're after a tropical holiday, Cape Verde is the perfect place for you to jet off to in March.

The average daily maximum temperatures reach around 25.7C, so you can spend your days on a sunbed tanning or swimming away in the clear waters.

Rainfall is exceptionally low in March, so you can expect seven hours of uninterrupted sunshine every day.

Barbados: 29.7C

March falls in Barbados' peak tourist season, so scorching weather can be expected.

The humidity is also pretty low at that time of year, and the winds provide sunbathers with a cool breeze, making it a comfortable heat.

Reaching a whopping 29.7C, this is the place for you if you're after some boiling sunshine.

  • TUI has seven-night stays in Barbados

Lanzarote: 19C

With temperatures reaching 19C, Lanzarote is a great choice for those of you who want to soak up some sun but don't like it too hot.

You can expect 12 hours of daylight in Lanzarote in March, with lovely long sunny days compared to here in the UK.
