Google reveals the 10 trending holiday spots for 2020 – but three now have travel warnings
GOOGLE have revealed the top ten trending holiday destinations for 2020 - although three of have recently issued travel warnings for tourists.
The list includes Israel and the UAE, which both face heightened risks following US-Iran tensions, and Australia, which is currently battling devastating bushfires.
The list was created by using the number of hotel searches for holidays in 2020 against hotel searches in 2018 and 2019.
In the top ten, Tel Aviv in Israel was one of the entries, along with Dubai in the UAE.
The Israeli city has risen in popularity, with Virgin Atlantic launching new flights to Tel Aviv last year.
Similarly, Dubai remains a favourite with tourists thanks to cheap flights and hot weather.
However, the government has issued warnings to westerners in both of the cities as tensions escalate between the US and Iran, fearing a fall out could hit holidaymakers.
Iran has vowed to attack Israel and Dubai if the US retaliates against their missile strike, as the attack could force the Middle East to put pressure on the US to pull back.
Perth in Australia was also one of the top trending destinations.
Australia is currently battling the worst bushfires on record, with at least one billion animals and 26 people killed.
Fires have recently been spotted in the south of Perth.
Tourists are being warned that "poor air quality" could lead to respiratory problems, while many areas and roads are closed following a State of Emergency.

- Seoul, Korea
- Tokyo, Japan
- Tel Aviv, Israel
- Marseille, France
- Vienna, Austria
- Bangkok, Thailand
- Dubai, United Arab Emirates
- Perth, Australia
Other, less problematic destinations on the list include Austria and France in Europe.
Thailand remains popular with tourists, while Japan is also included, most likely ahead of the 2020 Olympics.
Brazil, Korea and Vietnam round off the list.
