While many of the authentic features have been kept and restored, there are thankfully some modern updates including a double oven and roll top baths.

Guests staying in the Rapunzel Tower can climb the winding iron steps for the best view of the scenery, while the other rooms feature double beds and bathrooms.

Outside is the former Game Keepers cottage which has been transformed into a games room, which kids will  love along with the swing and climbing set built outside.

The castle was originally built as a gate house, according to the owner, and is a Grade II listed "folly house" - meaning it was mainly built for decoration.
