European flights slashed to just £1 with BA – as Ryanair offers tickets for under a tenner
FLIGHTS to Europe have been slashed to as little as £1 with airlines frantically trying to save the summer holidays.
Trips abroad are looking even more unlikely for Brits following the last-minute Spanish travel ban, leaving thousands facing a two-week quarantine when they return to the UK.
Tour operators have been forced to cancel flights and package holidays to both the mainland and to the popular holiday islands.

The British flag carrier has more than 100,000 seats for the reduced price costing £1, if you use 18,000 Avios points too.
Destinations include Amsterdam, Nice and Vienna, according to the .
Spain and Portugal are also available for the cheap deal although Brits should book at their own caution, as both destinations are still on the travel ban list.
Paul Charles, of travel consultancy the PC Agency, previously told that airlines are having to "pump the market" to try and encourage people to fly again.
He added: "I have never seen prices this low in the peak season in all my experience."
TravelSupermarket’s Emma Coulthurst said that prices this low to Europe haven’t been seen in more than 20 years.
She previously told Sun Online Travel: “These are the sort of prices which you sometimes were lucky enough to get last minute at the start of the season in May in the early 90s – you’d go into a travel agent and ask what they had for later that day or the next day.
“The uncertainty over when we would be able to holiday again has meant that many Brits who would normally book a summer holiday a few months before didn’t.
“It means that tour operators and travel agents have lots of unsold holidays from the UK to the Med."
