Haven launches new no frills and family fun holiday packages for summer 2021

HAVEN has launched new holiday packages for 2021 - one with no-frills and one with all the added extras.

The two new options are - with holidays on sale now.

The new packages mean that guests can now choose the holiday option that suits them, rather than paying for facilities they may not wish to use.

holidays are aimed at holidaymakers who want to relax, have a change of scenery, and use a Haven park as a base from which they can explore the surrounding area.

They get their own self-contained accommodation and access to Haven’s onsite restaurants, takeaways and supermarkets, so they can eat out if they wish.

Then there's the  option, which offers access to the full range of Haven facilities, including day and evening entertainment, restaurants, swimming pools and activities like bungee trampolining or go-karting.

Anyone who has already booked a Haven holiday prior to the introduction of Stay and Stay+Play will have their breaks moved to Haven Stay+Play.

There are varying levels of discount across parks and grades of caravan, but a Stay holiday will always be cheaper than a Stay+Play.

The new holiday options follow on from last year's Haven Hideaway scheme, which the company introduced following the first UK lockdown.

The stripped-back holidays were organised in light of parks having to abide by strict social distancing measures, and the positive response from guests led to the launch of these two new packages.

Haven's Chief Marketing Officer, Gerard Tempest told Sun Online Travel: "Some guests want all the benefits of self-contained accommodation in a fantastic location by the coast, but don't necessarily want to take part in the various high adrenaline activities we offer. After conducting research, we landed on giving our guests a choice, and it's one that they really enjoying having.

"For people that haven’t been on a holiday park break, either for a long time or ever before, a Stay holiday is a lower risk financially to see if you enjoy the experience. Then if you do, you can come back and do a Stay+Play holiday."

Holiday parks and campsites in the UK enjoyed a surge in popularity last summer thanks to the low risk they posed of spreading the virus compared to hotels. And this year may be even bigger for holiday parks.

"We’ve had a lot of new customers - people who couldn't go abroad last year who switched to staycations. I think that trend will remain as there will still be nervousness and restrictions around international travel. A lot of people are choosing to holiday domestically, particularly at holiday parks."

"One of the perks is that there are no luggage limits - guests can take as much as they can fit in the car, they have their own holiday home that's right on the coast with lots of great facilities to use should they wish to. It's a good option for young families as travelling with children can be stressful."

Many new processes introduced last year will remain in place for 2021. Guests can now bypass reception and go straight to their caravan where they will be given their set of keys.

They continue to offer their 'Coronvarius Book with Confidence Guarantee', which covers any bookings in 2021 if they are disrupted by coronavirus.

There's also a 'Cleanliness Guarantee', which promises guests a refund if accommodation does not meet cleaning standards on arrival.

Though no one can travel anywhere at the moment, there is a hope travel will be back to normal by the summer thanks to the vaccine rollout.
