Best deals on 2022 UK breaks – as holiday firm sees 134% rise in bookings for next year
BRITS have been busy booking up staycations due to ongoing uncertainty around foreign travel, with some UK holiday companies selling out for summer 2021.
As a result, many holidaymakers are looking further ahead and planning a 2022 break, when there are more options available.

UK holiday company has reported a 134 per cent increase in 2022 bookings, in comparison to the same point in 2019 when Brits were booking for 2020.
Holidaymakers have found it increasingly difficult to secure a break in England, particularly for spring and summer, due to a surge in demand.
There's also reduced availability, as many Brits have had holidays that were meant to take place last year moved to this year.

Those who plan ahead not only have more options in terms of availability, but might also avoid the current price hikes on holidays.
A recent Opinium poll for the found that 68 per cent of people have not booked any summer holiday this year, as "Britons have given up hope of a holiday abroad in 2021."
And since it was confirmed that UK breaks would be able to go ahead from April 12, staycation bookings have jumped 300 per cent.
Self-catered cottages, holiday parks and camping sites have all seen unprecedented demand, as some Brits have opted for the “safer” choice of booking a stay in the UK.
Coastal destinations have seen particularly huge demand, including Cornwall which, according to its tourism boss Malcolm Bell, is going to be 10 per cent busier than last summer.
Families even face being put on waiting lists if they want a Cornwall holiday due to demand.
