Alton Towers announces new Christmas attractions and events – and will open to day guests for the first time this winter
ALTON Towers has announced their new Christmas events and attractions to launch this winter.
And for the first time, guests will be able to visit just for the day during the festive period.

Launching this year is a huge light and lantern festival in partnership with Lightopia, which will illuminate Towers Street.
Also on site will be more than 60 festive stalls for guests to buy souvenirs and snacks along the way - including mulled wine.
Returning this year is Santa's Sleepover, which includes an overnight stay at the Alton Towers hotels and a visit to Santa's Grotto as well as entry to the theme park.
Their new day event tickets wil be for the Festive Day Out with selected rides open to families as well as the Alton Towers Gardens Lights Walk.
The festive events will run from November 27 to December 23.
Chris Carter, Events and Entertainments Director at Alton Towers Resort, said said they made the announcement earlier than usual after many families had to cancel their Christmas celebrations last year.
They said: "For the first year ever, we are opening the Resort to welcome day guests for our exciting Lightopia and Towers Christmas Market, with selected rides and attractions.
"We will also see the return of our hugely popular overnight festive escape, Santa’s Sleepover. Christmas is all about bringing people together, which will be more poignant than ever and something we want to really tap into here at the Resort."
Some Covid restrictions and hygiene measures will remain in place including social distancing, reduced capacity and hand sanitiser stations.
Guests must pre-book tickets online to guarantee entry.
