How to use first class plane toilets even when in economy, according to ex-flight attendant
NEXT time you see a long queue on the plane for the toilets, you should head to the front of the plane towards the first class bathrooms.
Kat Kamalani, who used to work as a flight attendant, has revealed some of her favourite secrets and hacks when travelling.
Kat, who recently took Covid leave from her job, explained that passengers can get the first class perk without actually having to be in first class.
She explained on her TikTok account: "Everyone always thinks you can't use the first class bathroom but you totally can.
"As long as you're not standing in the galley, you are free to use their lavatory."
The video has been watched more than 14,000 times since it was shared on her social media account.
People were left stunned, with one person saying: "What! I totally thought we couldn't use the first class bathroom."
It's not just the bathroom you can use if you are in economy - with some passengers revealing how to get first class meals without paying for the luxury.
The traveller revealed that all they had to do was ask, and they were given the food from business and first class.
They said “I was travelling long haul in economy from Tokyo to London, and my partner and I fell asleep as the flight was taking off – missing the first of two scheduled meals.
“The next meal was still two hours away, so the steward took pity on us and said he would see what he could do.
“Ten minutes later, he arrived with white table cloths, silver cutlery, and a delicious selection of fish, linguine and canapes from business and first class.”.
Kat also revealed in her video some other handy tricks including the secret cabinet you can find on flights, when needing emergency supplies.
She also explained how to get extra money when a flight has been oversold.
