Eurocamp has sale on summer breaks – with nostalgic holidays leading the way

EUROCAMP has a sale on summer holidays across Europe ready for the bank holidays and summer.

And families are turning to nostalgia for inspiration.

Parents booking their summer family getaways are increasingly looking to recreate holidays from their childhood, new research from Eurocamp reveals. 

Its study of over 5,000 people highlights the growing importance of nostalgia in holiday choices - with nine out of ten (91 per cent) of those surveyed saying that childhood holidays are the best.

Nearly three quarters (70 per cent) intend to take their children to a place they holidayed as a child, making new memories to last a lifetime with a whole new generation.

Ross Matthews, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer at Eurocamp said: “Our extensive study demonstrates how childhood holidays provide memories that last a lifetime.

“As a result we are seeing a real appetite from parents looking to recreate some of their favourite Eurocamp childhood holidays for their own children.

“Five decades of Eurocamp means we were around when today’s parents were enjoying holidays as kids, and now they have families of their own, we’re still here to see them take their own children. "

The campsite operator has breaks everywhere from France and Croatia to Spain and Austria.

Those looking for a spring holiday can get up to 40 per cent off at Easter, with 20 per cent savings to be had in the school summer break.

Accommodation available to rent includes mobile homes, holiday homes, cabins, tents, bungalows and more.

They have more than 150 parks for couples and families to choose from, from coastal locations to cities and the countryside.

Popular destinations include Spain, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and Croatia.
