Huge change to Spain holiday rules for teens from TODAY – in boost for families with half term & Easter breaks
FROM today, kids no longer need to be vaccinated to enter Spain - in a huge boost to British families with half term holiday plans.
Spain has scrapped its strict Covid rule banning unvaccinated teens aged between 12 and 17.
Instead, kids under 18 who haven't had both of their jabs will just have to have a negative PCR test taken 72 hours before arrival.
The last-minute change is a boost to Brits with plans to head abroad in half term and comes after months of holiday cancellations from Brits because of the rule.
Thousands of families were forced to cancel their trips as many kids in the UK are still yet to receive their second dose.
But the change has made holidays easier, and it isn't the only rule that Spain scrapped in the past week.
Masks were previously enforced in a range of outdoor spaces, including at the beaches, on the promenade and at swimming pools - this is no longer in place, although some public transport and mass events still require them.
There are still Covid rules in place for any Brits planning on heading to Spain.
