A TRAVEL expert has revealed a luggage hack to ensure a plane-sailing exit from the airport.

Thomas Lo Sciuto insisted one way to speed up baggage collection is to make sure you are among the last passengers to check in.

The ramp worker and gate agent at a US airport said it means bags are loaded onto the plane last.

This means they are first to come off at the destination airport.

Another way is to pick up a free "fragile" sticker at the airport and slap it onto your bags.

Luggage with these stickers on often go onto the plane last, again meaning they will be first onto the belt.

But if you're going to tag your luggage, make sure to leave one thing off - your address.

Opportunistic thieves will know that you are not at home and could try to burgle the property as a result.

Passengers wanting to check in at the last minute can use app TripIt to plan the amount of time needed to get through the airport.

It lets them check the size of queues at security before they even get to departures.

It comes after holidaymakers were hit with eight-hour flight delays and hundreds of trips were scrapped over text.

Passengers compared Bristol Airport to a "zoo" this weekend while those in Manchester reportedly waited four hours for a pilot to show up.
