FANS OF The Sooty Show can now enjoy theme park rides dedicated to the beloved, long-running children’s TV series.

Families can enjoy daily theatre performances of ‘The Sooty Show’ in the new ‘Sooty Show Time’ outdoor theatre.

There will also be four new rides - including ‘Sooty’s Magic Bus’, ‘Sweep’s Flying Circus’, ‘Soo’s Sweet Balloon Ride’ and ‘Izzy Wizzy Let’s Get Dizzy’.

What’s more, even if it’s raining this summer, visitors can make the most of ten new indoor attractions in the ‘Pier’ building.

They can choose between Soo’s music house, Sooty’s TV studio, Sooty’s Hall of Fame Exhibition - which will feature memorabilia and props from the past 70 years of The Sooty Show - Sooty’s Magic and Souvenir Shop, Sooty’s Diner, Sweep’s Hot Dogs and Soo’s Tea Room.

If that wasn’t enough, guests can also make the most of an electronic climbing wall, giant games room, seaside mirror maze and digi-wall ball games.

Crealy Theme Park & Resort - who have teamed up with the long-running TV show, which first aired in 1955, to create Sooty Land - have been voted as the best day out in Devon for ten years running.

Josh Haywood, general manager at Crealy Theme Park & Resort, said: “Crealy Theme Park & Resort has long prided itself on being a family attraction that caters for all generations.

“Sooty, Sweep and Soo have been entertaining children, parents and grandparents across the country for over 70 years, and so we couldn’t be more thrilled to be partnering with the gang on our new Sooty Land."

Richard Cadell, presenter and owner of The Sooty Show, said: “This really is such an exciting new chapter for Sooty.

“As I live close to Exeter myself, I’ve always admired everything they do at Crealy, so to be opening up Sooty Land in partnership with the team there is a real honour.

“Live daily theatre performances, Sweep selling hot dogs, amazing rides and Sooty’s very own magic shop; there’s going to be so much fun to be had for families and fans of Sooty across the country visiting Devon in 2022.”

It comes as a new Drayton Manor ride has gone viral, with thrill-seekers unable to get their head around its mind-boggling twists.
