Having to cancel a flight can be a disappointing experience, but thankfully British Airways make the process fairly straightforward.

If your journey is due to be completed by September 30, 2022 (this includes departure and return), you can cancel and claim a voucher to the value of the original booking which will be valid until the following year.

For Reward Flight, Avios Reward Flight Saver, Companion or Gold Upgrade Voucher bookings made before June 7, 2022, if your travel is completed by the September 30, 2022 and no changes have been made from June 8, 2022 onwards, you'll be able to cancel without a fee.

Your Companion or Gold Upgrade Voucher's expiry date revert back to its original date.

If you booked before June 7, 2022 for a trip that will be completed by September 30, 2022, you won't have to pay the first change booking fee.
