A FLIGHT attendant has revealed the most common item that passengers lose on the plane - and how to avoid it happening to you.

A flight attendant has revealed a clever item she swears by when flying with AirPods

She recently explained how people flying with wireless headphones can have problems on flights.

She told her thousands of followers: "If you fly and use AirPods, such a product like this so they don't become lost forever in the dark abyss of the airplane!"

She added in the comments: "Almost every flight someone loses them. 90 per cent of the time we never find them."

People shared their own horror stories of losing them during a flight.

One person commented: "I lost mine on a flight, the case fell off of my jeans’ pocket when I slept on the side."

Another said: "Just happened to me on flight from Tampa to Phoenix, lost one in the abyss."

A third wrote: "That happened to me! Expensive AirPods lost forever. I had the cleaning crew tearing the plane apart."
