You can stay in a Maldives-style overwater bungalow in the UK & it won’t break the bank
IF you fancy staying in an overwater bungalow without a trip to the Maldives, thankfully you can get a similar experience in the UK.
Brit holidaymakers will be happy to find out that an overwater villa exists on a lake in Cornwall.
Part of Pengelly Retreat, the is a luxury wooden cabin that overlooks a lake.
The Boat House, which is open all year round, has a kitchen and living area and double bedroom with an ensuite shower.
Other features include a welcome pack of food, a log burner and underfloor heating.
As well as standard hotel amenities, there's also a home cinema projector for a cosy night in.

On the sundeck there's an outdoor bath tub, a rowing boat, and a set of steps with direct access into the lake.
The Boat House sleeps two adults and prices start from £64 per night per person.
But guests will need to book a three-night stay as a minimum.
