The London airport that’s thousands of miles from the city – and doesn’t actually have any UK flights
DESPITE being called London Airport, passengers may be surprised to realise it is actually thousands of miles from the capital city in England.
Not only that, but it doesn't have any direct UK flights.
London International Airport is found in the city of London, Ontario in Canada.
In 1927, the city of London built the airport, and named it London Airport in 1929.
During World War II, it was used as a military training base, before it underwent a massive renovation.
From 1974 to 1998, a $12million (£10.1million) expansion updated the terminals and runways.
