HOLIDAYMAKERS are raving about an island in Greece that is cheaper than other more popular islands, but just as beautiful.
Many are dubbing it the "new Mykonos" while also pointing out that your money will go much further than it would on other Greek islands.
Paros is sandwiched between both Mykonos and Santorini, and is arguably as beautiful as the pair.
You can get there by plane from Athens, which takes 45 minutes, along with a one-hour flight from Mykonos or a two-hour flight from Santorini.
The island has its own airport - making it much easier to visit then other smaller islands that you have to access by ferry.
Lots of trendy 4* and 5* hotels have opened too, including Parilio and Cosme.

However, lots are affordable, including the Omilos Beachfront House which starts from £64, while cheap lodges are available for as little as £49.
Celebs include Margherita Missoni and Italian actor Monica Bellucci have visited too and vouched for its beauty, with the former describing it as "an isle with quieter charms" when compared with other Greek islands.
Paros is famous for its marble, which was considered to be the best in ancient times.
It’s rumoured that the iconic Venus de Milo statue – now housed in Paris’ Louvre Museum – was carved from Parian marble. And, more recently, in the 19th century, it was used for Napoleon’s tomb.

Kalia Konstantinidou, co-founder of Kanava Hotels told : “Paros is truly unique, mostly because of the energy the island exudes.
"It is also authentic. In comparison to Santorini and Mykonos, Paros is more laid back and offers an insight into the slow-paced Cycladic lifestyle.”
Another hotel owner said Paros "maintains an authenticity and local charm" that other Greek islands have lost due to overtourism.
Popular beaches include Golden Beach, Santa Maria, and Kolymbithres.
Tiktoker Pat () is another person who was won over by the island.
In , he said: "The Greek island of Paros is one of the most underrated islands in all of Greece.
"Paros is so much cheaper than Santorini and Mykonos, and you will save a lot of money if you come here instead.
"If you're looking for dinner reservations, Paros makes it quite a bit easier with some views that are out of this world."
Greek food website Dinner in the Sky said it was the "" but said it also managed to keep "a more sophisticated character".
