The UK beach that gets warmest the quickest every spring – and A-listers love it
A BEACH in the UK is the best to visit in the spring as it gets the warmest first – and even celebs love it.
According to a study conducted by Parkdean, Camber Sands gets the warmest the quickest in spring, hitting highs of 19C.
The three-mile stretch of sand is found to the east of Rye, and it is home to the only sand dune system in East Sussex.
As many as 30,000 people visit in a day during the summer holidays, and the windy conditions make it popular with kite-surfers.
You can easily spend the day there, as there is parking, toilets and food stands on the beach.
The beach is also popular with celebs – Tom and Giovanna Fletcher were spotted at Camber Sands last year, along with Lisa Faulkner.
It has also been used as a filming location.
This includes the 1958 film Dunkirk, as well as the 1962 war film The Longest Day and George Clooney’s The Monuments Men film.
TV shows Doctor Who, After Life and Inbetweeners were also filmed there.
If you fancy visiting, one of the most popular hotels in the area includes The Gallivant.
However, a more affordable stay can be found at Parkdean’s Camber Sands resort, or at the nearby Pontins resort.
Breaks can be found for as little as £4pp a night.
Former holidaymakers praised the beach on TripAdvisor with one saying: “I have been visiting Camber for 65 years and still find it magical.”
One woman said: “10/10 beach and I have travelled the world.
“I have been to many beaches in my lifetime, but I can gladly say this is now my favourite beach.”
A third agreed: “One of the most beautiful beaches in Britain.”
If you fancy a visit, you should factor in parking charges, as new costs will see tourists pay £30 to visit the beach this summer.
Here another UK beach which has amazing beaches, while this one was voted the best British beach.
