Haven gives holiday parks £170million upgrade – here’s what it means for your staycation
UK holiday park operator Haven has announced more than £170 million worth of investment across multiple parks this year.
The cash injection will support expansion plans, including new activity and entertainment facilities, as well as an increase in new holiday homes.
The plans will see major entertainment upgrades across a number of parks including Allhallows, Quay West, Thorpe Park and Skegness, the first new Haven holiday park to open in over 6 years, after a £24m renovation.
All of those parks will enjoy new facilities, with plans for either state of the art Adventure Villages or Marina Bar & Stages, as well as well-known food and beverage partnership brands.
The Adventure Village has already been introduced to six parks since 2019 and as part of Haven’s continued investment, with another three on the way in 2023.

The villages provide outdoor facilities, with something for all the family.
Guests can experience an aerial adventure course as well as The Jump – a six-metre-high freefall experience onto an airbag.
The top-of-the-range courses are custom built for Haven Parks which means activities and facilities vary by site.
Adventure Villages are currently at Allhallows, Caister-on-Sea, Devon Cliffs, Golden Sands, Hafan y Mor, Haggerston Castle, Lakeland, Presthaven, Primrose Valley, Quay West and Thorpe Park with Weymouth Bay coming soon.
A selection of food and drink bars will also form part of the village experience.
Meanwhile, Allhallows, Thorpe Park and Skegness will get Marina Bar & Stages additions, which Haven claim offer the very best in live entertainment and a modern space to eat and drink.
The existing Showbar entertainment space at Quay West will also undergo a huge makeover and upgrade in facilities.
Further will get smaller upgrades to existing entertainment facilities and activities, including Hopton, Craig Tara, Devon Cliffs and more.
These upgrades come as 70 per cent of individuals interviewed for VisitBritain’s Domestic Sentiment Tracker in January revealed they were planning a UK staycation in the next twelve months.
Simon Palethorpe, Managing Director, at Haven said: “This investment of over £170 million builds on the £230 million we have spent between 2021 and 2022 to improve our parks and we’re thrilled to be rolling out new entertainment facilities across Haven parks in 2023 as a result.
"With the continued demand for family staycations, the Adventure Villages and Marina Bar & Stages are a great addition to our offer, providing even more fun for guests and owners at incredible value."
Meanwhile, Haven has UK holidays on sale from £3pp per night.
