BRITS heading to popular beaches across the UK have been warned about strict new rules that could see them fined £1000.
Beaches across the UK have banned dogs from visiting this summer in a bid to keep children safe and the beaches clean from any dog mess.
Any beachgoers who are found to be in breach of the ban could be issued an on-the-spot fine of up to £100 with that figure rising to £1000 if the dispute is taken to court.
In recent years, local authorities have introduced a series of Public Space Protection Orders that limit where dogs can be walked during the summer months.
And, this year is no exception with counties across the UK enforcing similar restrictions once again.
From May 1 until September 30, holiday hotspots across the UK will ban dogs from their beaches.

While certain beaches include an outright ban, some will only let our four-legged friends visit at certain times of the day and others will require dogs to be kept on leads.
Here are some of the popular beaches affected - and the ones you can still take your furry friends.
Devon
Three privately owned beaches in Devon, Combe Martin Beach, Barricane Beach, and Croyde Bay will restrict dog access over the summer.
According to , they require dogs to be kept on leads in the dunes between May and September.

But there are still plenty of beaches in North Devon that do allow dogs all year round like Heddons Mouth, Lynmouth Beach, and Rockham Beach among several others.
In South Devon, there are more beaches where dogs are banned between May to September.
According to , these include beaches like Preston Sands, Broadsands, and Coryton Cove in Dawlish.
But there are plenty of sandy beaches where dogs are allowed all year including East Portlemouth, Mill Bay, and Salcombe North Sands.
Cornwall
As listed by , there are four beaches where dogs are completely banned from entering, these include Charlestown, Looe, Polruan Back, and Polruan Quay.
Meanwhile, a further 48 beaches restrict the time of day when dogs are allowed on the beach.
From May 15 until September 30 beaches like Crackington Haven and Crooklets Beach in Bude won't allow dogs on the beach between 10 am to 6 pm.
Elsewhere in Cornwall, owners should keep their dogs away from Polzeath Beach, Polzeath, and Porthminister Beach, St Ives for similar restrictions.
According to Cornwall Beaches, there are 148 beaches where dogs are allowed including Dollar Cove, Lansallos Cove, and Sandymouth
Kent
According to , from May 1 to September 30 dogs are not allowed on Margate Main Sands, Pegwell Bay in Ramsgate, and Viking Bay in Broadstairs.
Other beaches in Kent where dogs are not allowed include Herne Bay Central, Tankerton, and Sheerness.
Meanwhile, from May 1 to September 30, dogs are not allowed between 10 am to 6 pm on Botany Bay and Joss Bay in Broadstairs and St Mildred’s Bay in Westgate-on-Sea.
Other counties across the UK also have similar restrictions including County Durham, Yorkshire, and parts of Scotland and Wales.
UK beachgoers are encouraged to check local council websites for the latest restrictions when visiting beaches with their dogs.
