The hidden Spanish beach with bright blue waters – but without the crowds

SPAIN is the most popular holiday destination for Brits - meaning it can be busy in the summer months.

But there are a number of secluded beaches where you can sunbathe without the crowds.

Recent research from , an international car rental provider, has identified the most secluded beaches across Spain.

One of the most stunning hidden beaches is Ezaro Beach, set on the west coast of Spain with crystal clear waters and stretches of sand.

It also remains largely unspoiled because it's surrounded by cliffs and only accessible on foot.

Holidaymakers will be able to swim, sunbathe and surf on this quiet beach.

There's also a small supermarket nearby as well as a handful of restaurants and hotels.

The surrounding area is also historically and culturally significant too as it's near the famous Camino de Santiago - a popular pilgrimage route.

In recent years, day-trippers have taken to TripAdvisor to rave about the beach.

One person wrote: "This is an amazing place where you can enjoy the only waterfall in Europe jumping into the sea."

While another added: "It's great to just walk around the beach and enjoy the view of the ocean and sunset."

Brit holidaymakers who want to visit the secluded beach will need to arrive at Santiago de Compostela airport in Spain.

Both British Airways and Ryanair operate direct flights from London to Santiago de Compostela, taking around two hours and start from £26

While a drive from the Spanish airport takes around an hour, it would be worth it to spend a day at the beach without the crowds.

Several other secluded beaches on the list include Os Frades Beach on the northwest coast, Cala Forn Beach on the Costa Brava and Ladeira Beach on Spain's west Coast.

There are several other lesser-known beaches dotted around the country too - including Cala Pedrosa which is an 800m walk from the main border.

But Spain isn't the only popular destination to have its own secluded beaches.

There's a beach in Greece that only the locals know about.
