I’m a pilot and passengers make the same mistake on long flights that annoy crew
A PILOT has revealed how passengers can make themselves less annoying during flights by not making a simple mistake.
Every day people irritate their flight attendants by doing very silly things, although not always by choice - sometimes they just aren't sure of the correct etiquette.
That's why Emirates wingman Yusri Abu Bakar provided some travel tips, to let them know how to make their air stewards' lives much easier in the future.
Firstly, he provided them with a tip that could stop them getting disturbed when sleeping during a flight.
Passengers will often make use of the blankets provided to them during their flights.
However, putting it over their seatbelt could result in them being woken up by the flight crew, if there's any turbulence, or the plane is due to land.

Yusri explained how people can get around this problem.
He told: "The first thing you should do is fasten your seatbelt on top of your blanket, so they don't have to disturb you."
He also went on to explain that passengers should try to reduce the number of trips the crew members have to take whenever they ask for things.
Instead of just asking for one thing at a time, people should ask for everything they need at once, so they aren't constantly pestering the attendants.

He continued: "Passengers should think about what they'll need for the next few hours of their flight — a blanket, coffee, or snacks — and ask for it all in one go."
Sending the cabin crew members up and down the aisle isn't the only way to annoy them either.
People who stand up before the plane has reached the terminal have been described as "idiots" by Sun Online Travel's resident flight attendant.
They said: "If you're the type of person who stands up before the plane doors are open after your flight has landed, you're an idiot.
"It can be really dangerous to stand up, especially if the plane is still moving and you're yet to reach the terminal.
"It's like taking off your seatbelt and trying to move around in a car just because you've come off the motorway. The vehicle is still moving and it can still be very dangerous.
"I can't stress this enough, you're not going anywhere fast.
"You're better off sitting down until the plane has at least reached the terminal, then you can start to think about gathering your belongings and getting ready to get off."
