The huge holiday resorts that have MORE sun loungers than guests – ending sunbed wars
A POOLSIDE summer holiday is a lot of people's idea of fun, even if they have to get up early to battle for the best beds.
However, those morning squabbles over sun lounger space can be avoided, just by booking a different resort.
Holiday experts at have scoured thousands of hotels to find the ones with best sunbed to guest ratio, so customers can sleep in, safe in the knowledge there'll be a bed waiting for them when they get up.
Their research has showed that there are even resorts that have more than one sunbed available per guest staying at the hotel, meaning no one has to wake up early to secure a lounger.
The hotel with the best sunbed to guest ratio is Lyttos Beach Hotel in Crete, Greece, where there are 3,500 sunbeds available, situated across seven pools and hotel beach.
With a maximum capacity of 2,150, it means there is always an excess of sunbeds and guests can take a more relaxed approach to their rush to the poolside.

There are five further hotels with a greater number of sunbeds compared to hotel capacity in popular holiday destinations.
These include the the Akti Imperial Deluxe Resort & Spa Dolce by Wyndham in Rhodes, Greece, which has 2,150 sunbeds compared to its capacity of 1,850.
Next is the Lindos Imperial Resort & Spa, also in Rhodes, where 1,600 guests have acess to 1,800 sun loungers.
The Rixos Premium Seagate resort in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt has 1,850 beds for their 1,800 guests, while the Titanic Palace And Aquapark Resort in Hurghada has 1,196 loungers for a 1,160 capacity.

Finally, the Leonardo Plaza Cypria Maris Beach Hotel & Spa in Paphos, Cyprus has 800 sunbeds and a maximum occupancy of 790 guests.
A stay at all of these resorts would guarantee a sun lounger each day, barring any exceptional circumstances.
Zoe Harris, chief customer officer at On the Beach, said: “The issue of reserving sun loungers at hotels has been raging since the birth of package holidays.
"The reality is that a lot of holidaymakers - even those who say it's wrong - have chanced their arm with a 6am towel dash for the best poolside spots.
“We’re always looking at ways to give our customers the best holiday experience and so we’ve scoured thousands of hotels searching for the best sunbed to guest ratios.
"We have six brilliant hotels in fantastic locations that have more sunbeds than guests, which means you can wake up without setting an alarm knowing there will always be a sunbed available for you.”
There have been calls for all resorts to at least have one bed per person who might be staying at their resort, including from television presenter Vanessa Feltz.
She told This Morning: "Surely there should be something in the trades descriptions or whatever saying that if we've got 300 people at this hotel, we have to have 300 sunbeds.
"Otherwise it's not fair because you're exempting people from the whole thing."
