UK’s ‘most beautiful’ national park has waterfalls, world-class dark skies and £8 campsites
THE "most beautiful" national park in the UK has been revealed - it has £8 campsites and a 300-year-old tourist attraction.
The autumn weather has people planning days out, with trips to the park a great choice for the entire family.
Recent research from , a luggage storage company, revealed the most beautiful national parks in the UK.
The beauty of each of the national parks was ranked based on their digital footprints, which were scored out of 10.
Factors such as social media posts, Google searches, and customer reviews were used to determine the most beautiful national park.
According to the research, the Lake District National Park in northern England nabbed the top spot, with a score of 10/10.

The Lake District scored highly in each category, with over 500million views on TikTok and over 4million posts on Instagram.
Google searches for the "Lake District" also reached over 4.5million - a figure that was double that of the UK's second most beautiful national park.
There are plenty of things to do in the Lake District National Park too, including walking routes and cycle rides.
Because the Lake District is home to some of the darkest skies in the country, it's an ideal spot to stargaze.

For the best views of the night sky, make sure to head to Ennerdale, Grizedale Forest, Borrowdale Valley, or Langdale Valley.
There are plenty of waterfalls Brit holidaymakers can visit in the Lake District too, including Skelwith Force, and Aira Force, which has been a popular tourist attraction for 300 years.
Lake Windermere is another point of interest in the UK's most beautiful national park.
Other attractions include the Armitt Museum, which delves into the park's history, and the Mine Tour at Honister Slate Mine.
Earlier this year, one holidaymaker shared the £8 per night campsite where he pitched his tent in the Lake District.
For those Brit holidaymakers who can't easily reach the Lake District, plenty of other national parks across the UK also made the list.
Derbyshire's Peak District took second place with a score of 9.29/10.
Not only does the central England park cover 500 miles, but it also appeared in more than 2million Instagram posts and has had more than 270million views on TikTok.
Northumberland National Park and Snowdonia National Park came in joint third place, with a score of 8.22/10.
When it came to posts on social media, the Welsh park also scored quite strongly with 1.2million posts on Instagram and 172million TikTok views.
Last week, Humphrey Butler, who is the founder and CEO of Marvellous Maps, revealed his top ten bucket list destinations across the UK.
Plenty of national parks were included in his top ten, such as Bannau Brycheiniog.
Formerly known as the Brecon Beacons, the Bannau is divided into four distinct areas, from west to east: Black Mountain, Fforest Fawr, Brecon Beacons, and the Black Mountains.
Humphrey told Sun Online Travel: "The scenery alone is enough, but what we really love about this national park is its renewed commitment to environmental restoration."
