EASYJET is one of the UK's biggest and most affordable airlines.
However, most passengers are aware that booking certain seats comes with an additional cost.
If you are willing to pay extra to reserve a better spot, you can follow our handy plane map to ensure you get the seat that suits your needs.
From extra legroom to the best Instagram-worthy spot, we reveal the top tips for choosing the right seat for you.
Getting off the plane first
Those holidaymakers who are itching to explore, or just desperate to get home, will want to beat the queues by booking a seat in the front five rows.
To get off the plane even quicker, book an aisle seat, because you can simply get up into the aisle when the plane has come to a complete halt.

On most easyJet flights passengers will also be able to disembark at the back of the aircraft - although this is dependent on the airport and isn't guaranteed.
If you're in a rush, or just desperate to get off the plane, it's best to book a seat at the front of the plane.
Extra Legroom
The affordable airline isn't known for its spacious seats, but it does have three rows with extra legroom seats.
These seats can be found at the front of the plane in the first row, with all six seats, including A, B, C, D, E, and F providing passengers with a little more leg space.

Meanwhile, the two other rows with extra legroom are in the emergency exit rows in the middle of the plane.
The airline also says passengers who reserve a seat in either row 12 and 13, will have more legroom.
Head start on snacks
While some people prefer to eat in the departure lounge, others like nothing more than tucking into an in-flight meal.
If you want to be among one of the first passengers to be served tea or coffee, then it's best to book a seat in either the first two rows or in row 30 at the back of the plane.
With trolley carts circulating from both the front and the back of the aircraft, these seats will make sure you get served.
Best photos
Did you even board a plane, if you didn't take a photo of the clouds or the plane's wing?
In order to stare out the plane's window, while taking photos of the glorious blue sky, it's best to book a window seat.
If you are looking to take pictures during the flight, you should be booking a window seat that’s located between rows 12 and 15.
This is because you will be able to capture the wing of the plane in those seats.
Take a nap
Once you've eaten your snack, and taken a photo for your social media pages, you might be inclined to get some shut-eye.
Window seats give passengers the best chance to have an uninterrupted snooze.
This is because other passengers won't be able to disturb you by asking you to move out of your seat.
According to , on easyJet's A319 aircraft, none of the seats, except for those in the first row, recline.
Meanwhile on the older planes, all of the plane seats recline, so it's worth noting the aircraft you're flying with before booking a seat.
Seats to avoid
While it may seem like seats at the front and the back of the plane are the best ones to book, they do have their downsides.
For example, passengers sitting in seats A, B, and C on the first row, and in row 30 at the back of the plane, may find their trip slightly irritating as passengers queue for the nearby toilets.
These seats may also fall foul of any bad odours that might be emanating from the toilet cubicles.
Flight compensation rules
What are my rights if my flight is cancelled or delayed?
Under UK law, airlines have to provide compensation if your flight arrives at its destination more than three hours late.
If you're flying to or from the UK, your airline must let you choose a refund or an alternative flight.
You will be able to get your money back for the part of your ticket that you haven't used yet.
So if you booked a return flight and the outbound leg is cancelled, you can get the full cost of the return ticket refunded.
But if travelling is essential, then your airline has to find you an alternative flight. This could even be with another airline.
When am I not entitled to compensation?
The airline doesn't have to give you a refund if the flight was cancelled due to reasons beyond their control, such as extreme weather.
Disruptions caused by things like extreme weather, airport or air traffic control employee strikes or other ‘extraordinary circumstances’ are not eligible for compensation.
Some airlines may stretch the definition of the "extraordinary circumstances" but you can challenge them through the aviation regulator the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
Will my insurance cover me if my flight is cancelled?
If you can't claim compensation directly through the airline, your travel insurance may refund you.
Policies vary so you should check the small print, but a delay of eight to 12 hours will normally mean you qualify for some money from your insurer.
Remember to get written confirmation of your delay from the airport as your insurer will need proof.
If your flight is cancelled entirely, you're unlikely to be covered by your insurance.
What's the damage?
Prices for seats in the front row start from £12.99, while other seats like those over the plane's wings cost £7.99 per person.
If you don't want to fork out for a specific seat, you can still opt to have your seat randomly allocated for free.
In June 2024, EasyJet launched a new sale with up to £200 off holiday packages.
