The holiday park sits on the Norfolk coast, in the small seaside town of Hemsby.

According to a press release from Visit Great Yarmouth, new caravans and lodges are set to be unveiled at the Norfolk holiday park.

In addition to the new accommodation options, the holiday park is also renovating its family play areas.

As reported by the , the site's Family Entertainment Centre will be extended to feature several new areas, including high ropes, a new arcade, a bowling alley, and two indoor soft play areas.

There will also be a multi-use games court, an outdoor gym, and a climbing wall, as well as additional space for activities like archery, fencing and hoverboards.

The Hemsby Beach Holiday Park is also set to get a new crazy golf course as well as a pirate-themed wet play attraction.

A brand-new walkway will connect both sections.

Greg Munford boss of Richardsons Leisure, the company that own the Norfolk holiday park, told Eastern Daily Press: "Richardsons feel responsibility for the communities and although our main anchor is our holidays, we want to bring as much as possible to the people who live in our towns.

"Everything we’re adding here is going to be tropical-themed with coconut trees and bright colours - we might not have the weather, but we’ll be bringing the vibes."

Several family favourites are set to remain at the holiday park, including The Quarterdeck Restaurant and Posh Plaice fish bar, and a heated indoor swimming pool.

The Norfolk holiday park is located near a small beach, as well as a small strip of shops and amusement arcades.

Hemsby is also home to  , an outdoor amusement park with a giant corn maze and play equipment.

While an opening date has yet to be confirmed, it is hoped that the new attractions will be open in time for the Easter holidays.

The overhaul isn't the only incentive being adopted by the holiday park.

Richardson's Hesmby Holiday Park is also offering a £25 deposit on breaks.

The leisure group is also expanding its Stalham site, which is the main base of its boat hire operations.

A new visitor centre will feature a learning and play experience complete with immersive displays.

The company also plans to construct an outdoor adventure experience in Stalham.

It is thought that the combined renovations are set to cost £2million.

Richardson's isn't the only UK holiday park that's set to expand in 2024.

Last year, Butlins revealed it would be opening a set of holiday lodges.

Part of a huge renovation at the Butlin's Skegness resort, the site will be called Maple Walk Village and include 128 lodges.

Each lodge will have three bedrooms, with the main one having a king-size bed and ensuite shower room.

There will also be two twin rooms, as well as a fully equipped kitchen which has tea and coffee making facilities as well as a fridge.

The new lodges will be available to book for overnight stays from May 2024.

Legoland will also be opening its brand-new Woodland Village later this year.

In total, 130 holiday lodges and 20 camping barrels will be scattered across a 10-acre site.

The holiday lodges will be joined by The Clubhouse Restaurant & Bar, which will serve up campfire-inspired grub in a woodland-themed setting.
