The machines have lots of different themes and date back to the 70s and 90s

So once you’ve paid your entry fee, £12.50, you’re free to go around and play on as many of the machines as you’d like within your allotted three hour time slot.

The pinball paradise is located in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire, and promises that all its machines are “well maintained with a sparkling clean (and waxed) playfield” meaning they’re all in great working order.

Their pinball machines include plenty of special themed ones, including The Addams Family, The Simpsons, Lord of the Rings and Spiderman, among many others.

For those whose interests in pinball go beyond recreation, the Pinball Office hosts a league night twice a month, as well as other competitions.

Entrants have eight games to play, listed on a scoresheet, that they get to play on once.

A prize of free entry on your next visit is awarded to both the first place player and the top newcomer each week.

After three months (or six league meets), bigger prizes are available for the top three players.

There’s a self service tea/coffee/soft drinks counter on site, as well as two cafes that serve breakfast and lunch to gamers.

If you’re into pinball, but not sharing, the whole site can be booked out for private events, with prices listed on the

The site has an overall score of 5/5 on TripAdvisor with no scores lower than a 4/5 from any of their reviewers.

One person wrote: “Had my first visit to The Pinball Office this afternoon. Three hours flew by. There are two rooms of tables, a 90’s room and a modern room.

“The Addams Family was my favourite, and so pleased to hear the volume turned up, the sound effects on this table are just so good.”

Another said: “Good number of machines, in perfect order.

“It was popular but not overcrowded, so we were able to try most tables and have plenty of goes at our favourites.”

A third added: “Had an amazing time, loads of pinball machines to pick from, and all in perfect working order, and great value for money.”

For people who are interested in more modern games, there are also places where they can go to play those.

Microsoft Experience

The Microsoft Experience Centre’s Xbox Lounge offers people the chance to play on Xboxes free of charge.

The free-to-play gaming zone opened in spring last year in Regent Street, London and has three dedicated gaming areas, with 21 gaming screens for people to enjoy.

Those three zones include the Cloud Gaming Zone, with 55” Neo QLED Smart TVs for game streaming via the Samsung Gaming Hub – an online gaming service with no downloads, storage limits, or console required.

There’s also the Living Room Zone with 98” Neo QLED 4K HDR Smart TVs and the Tournament Zone containing 12 24” inch Odyssey G3 Gaming Monitors for people to engage in some friendly competition.

Science Museum

The Power Up exhibition at the Science Museum in London has more than 160 different games consoles for people to try and out.

The interactive experience allows guests to get hands-on with a multitude of video games from the previous 50 years.

Visitors of all ages and skill levels can enjoy a journey through gaming history, from the Atari 2600 all the way up to the PlayStation 5, with almost every console in between.

Classics like Mario Kart Races, Pong and Pac-Man can be played, alongside newer hits like Fortnite, Super Smash Bros and FIFA.

Meanwhile, this largest gaming arcade in Europe is in the UK.

And this attraction is like a real life video game.
