Small UK airport to get 16 new flight routes across Europe next year – including Greek islands and top Spanish resorts
JET2 is launching brand new flights from a lesser-known UK airport from next year.
Holidaymakers in Bournemouth will have 16 new places to fly to as of next April, when the budget airline's flights begin.
Popular holiday destinations including Spain, Turkey, Greece and Portugal are among the new destinations to be served by the airline, once the routes take to the skies in 2025.
Spain will get the bulk of the new flights, with Alicante, Ibiza, Menorca, Mallorca, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Tenerife all getting a new link to the south coast.
Four Greek hotspots will also be included, with new Corfu, Heraklion, Rhodes and Zakynthos flights on the cards.
Two destinations in both Turkey and Portugal will be available as well, with Antalya, Dalaman, Faro and Funchal to be served by Jet2.

The new flights will begin in April next year, although they will be staggered between April and May.
The first flights taking off will be the ones to Tenerife South, which are due to begin on April 1, 2025, with up to three weekly services.
The next day will see weekly Fuerteventura flights launched, along with flights to Palma de Mallorca, which will have as many as four weekly flights.
They will be followed by the Dalaman route, which will have two weekly flights, the first of which will take off on April 3.

April 4 will see the launch of the new twice weekly Faro route, as well as the twice weekly Lanzarote flights.
Weekly flights to Gran Canaria will commence on April 6.
The following month, once a week Funchal routes will begin on May 1, as will twice weekly summer flights to Ibiza and once a week service to Zakynthos.
May 3 will see the start of two flights a week jetting off to Alicante and Antalya, shortly followed by a weekly service to Menorca flying on May 4.
Weekly Rhodes flights will fly for the first time on May 5, while trips to Heraklion will launch on May 6.
Meanwhile, May 7 will offer the first flights to Corfu.

In the meantime, other UK airports are getting new flights this year, including one smaller hub that is becoming a Ryanair base.
Norwich
The budget airline will begin flying to Alicante, Faro, and Malta from Norwich Airport from April 1 this year.
It is the 28th smallest airport in the UK, with only 319,000 passengers last year, but will be able to offer the new routes from the start of next month.
Birmingham
The UK's second city is also getting a load more budget flights this year, with easyJet launching 16 new routes.
From this summer, the airline will fly to Barcelona, Malaga, Alicante, Fuerteventura and Tenerife.
Other new routes are set to include Antalya and Dalaman in Turkey, as well as other destinations in Greece like Rhodes, Kos, Heraklion and Corfu.
They will also operate flights to Berlin, Sharm El Sheikh, Larnaca Intl and Jersey.

Meanwhile, these 19 destinations are getting new UK flights this year.
And this new European airline is due to fly to the UK this summer.
