Last-minute holidays to Malta this month start from £196pp – with 24C highs & £2.65 beers
MALTA is often described as an all-year-round destination thanks to its incredible weather.
The island boasts more than 300 sunny days per year, as well as cheap holiday packages and short flights from the UK.
April is a great time to visit the islands, as average temperatures start hitting the mid-20C, and sunshine is almost guaranteed.
In fact, spring and late summer are said to be the best time to visit Malta, as you'll enjoy the beaches and explore the destination without the scorching sun.
To make it even better, these last-minute holidays we've spotted are significantly cheaper than in May and June.
The deals start from £196pp including your flights, and there are options for four and seven-night stays.
Malta has 12 Blue Flag beaches and more than 80 diving sites, making it one of the top diving destinations in Europe.
A must-see on the island is The Blue Lagoon, a natural lagoon surrounded by pearly white beaches in the middle of Comino and Cominotto.
The only way to reach the untouched lagoon is by boat, which takes around 25 minutes.
Here are the best deals we've spotted for a holiday to Malta this April:

- Malta has made it into the top 20 of this year's Post Office's - and it's one of the few short-haul holidays to do so.
Post Office researchers cross-checked the prices of eight items, which included a three-course dinner for two with wine, a cup of coffee, a bottle of local beer, a can of cola, a glass of wine, a bottle of still water, suncream, and insect repellent.
These items were chosen to represent the purchases visitors from the UK are likely to make - and Malta's total came to £91.65.
A bottle of beer in Malta should cost around £2.65, a coffee is £1.50, and a soda can is around £2.20.
The most expensive finding was the three-course dinner, which was around £63.
For more holiday deals, we've found thousands of beach holidays for less than £190pp this spring – including to Spain, Turkey and Portugal.
Meanwhile, cruise giant MSC slashed the price of holidays to Northern Europe, the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.
And we spotted the Spanish island that is one of the cheapest for package holidays – but still has pretty beaches and a huge waterpark.
