One of the best ways to fly over the Swiss Alps is flying to Verona, often dubbed the "mini Venice" due to it's walkability, and fewer tourists.

The city of Verona is known for being the setting of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, with a 14th century house said to be "Juliet's House".

It isn't open to the public, although has previously opened for Valentine's Day with Airbnb back in 2020.

Another attraction that's popular in Verona is the 12th century Roman Amphitheatre, made of pink marble that still has live events on.

Flights to Verona with British Airways are just £44.

Other British Airways crew shared their favourite destinations to fly to as well.

British Airways has unveiled a new uniform for the first time in nearly 20 years, designed by Ozwald Boateng

Captain Karen Anderson, who flies the Boeing 777, said: "Rio de Janeiro is one of the best places in the world to land.

"The scenery is absolutely breathtaking - from its beautiful beaches, Copacabana being the most famous, to its mountain peaks and the largest urban forest in the world."

Senior First Officer Steven Hadley, Senior First Officer, said: "Phoenix for me is a top destination - not only does it provide the opportunity to get reliable winter sun, but the hikes and scenery on offer are hard to beat.

"From climbing Camelback Mountain in the city to getting out of the city in a convertible Mustang and hiking the red rocks of Sedona, it is the perfect playground if you love getting outdoors."

And Captain Marjolein van Deth, who has been with British Airways for 17 years, surprisingly rated London, despite flying both "short haul and long haul".

She added: "When we are landing on the westerly runways in Heathrow, we fly straight over all the amazing London landmarks.

It is so beautiful, both during the day and at night when all the lights are lit up."
