European airline’s ‘all-you-can-fly’ pass is now on sale – but there’s a catch

The cheap yearly membership could get you to luxury locations like the Maldives

A EUROPEAN airline has begun an "all-you-can-fly" deal for a cheap price - but there's a sneaky catch.

Wizz Air are offering regular flyers the opportunity to get an unbelievable yearly membership for under £450.

The deal offers travellers the selection of 950 routes across Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

But customers need to act fast as there are only 10,000 seats available.

On top of this seat shortage, £450 is just the introductory price and is set to rise to over £500 after 15 August.

But once a membership is purchased, from 25 September the lucky tourists will be able to fly nearly wherever they desire.

Customers have to choose their destination up to 72 hours before the flight departure with options available like Italy and Spain.

But holidaymakers willing to do flight transfers means the membership can take you to further locations like Iceland, Dubai and the Maldives - all included in the deal.

But this too-good-to-be-true deal comes with a catch.

Despite the advertisement that flights are free, members will still have to pay a £9 booking fee for each individual flight taken.

On top of this, there is no carry-on or checked baggage allowance, meaning passengers will have to cope with just one small personal bag to fit under the chair in front of them.

Wizz Air commercial officer Silvia Mosquera said: "We are thrilled to be the first to introduce this one-of-a-kind membership for travellers in Europe.

It comes after an American tourist revealed how she got a free extra holiday in Italy after being bumped from her flight - and thousands of pounds worth of flight vouchers.

When Susan Berry's flight was overbooked, American Airlines reportedly needed volunteers to stay behind in Italy - with expenses paid.

Photographer Susan was given the news that her American Airlines flight was overbooked - as were the others to Philadelphia for almost two weeks, she said.

Susan's Naples trip was able to be extended a few days, boasting thousands of pounds worth of four-star hotel stays, private cars, delicious meals - and securing flight vouchers.

The 36-year-old suggested that she couldn't wait to volunteer herself to stay longer on holiday.
