Bright pink McDonald’s people can’t believe is real is in one of Europe’s cheapest cities

A MCDONALD's in Europe is standing out for its unusual building - because its painted bright pink.

Found in Portugal, the fast food chain branch is the district of Belem.

Most people visit Belem will head to the famous Tower of Belem, or the Pastéis de Belém for a famous custard tart.

But also in town is one of the prettiest McDonald's.

Found on the ground floor, the pink exterior is even more quaint thanks to its bright orange tiled roof and floral canopies.

It could even be mistaken for a Wicked campaign, which has seen places turned pink and green during the record-breaking film's release.

Sadly the pink doesn't translate to inside the McDonald's with it being a normal fast food chain once you are through the front doors.

People were shocked by the McDonald's online too.

One person said: "Ngl I’d probably believe it was a knockoff if I just walked past it on the street.

"Very cool knowing that it’s legit and unique."

It also has some unusual menu items that we don't have in the UK.

A unique item is the CBO - standing for cheddar, bacon and onion - which has a seeded bun and breaded chicken as well.

Other unusual options include pea soup and a peasant soup, filled with vegetables in a broth.

And a "potato sauce" is popular, which is a creamy dipping sauce for chips or chicken nuggets.

Portugal is also home to what has been dubbed the most beautiful McDonald's in the world.

Over in Porto, the McDonald's is built into a 1930s cafe called Cafe Imperial.

Many of the original features are still in place, including the Art Deco stained glass windows.

Crystal chandeliers and friezes overlook the rest of the McDonald's.
