Is this the prettiest hotel in Europe? ‘Ultimate Instagram Resort’ becomes hit on TikTok
AN Austrian mountain resort has been dubbed "the ultimate Instagram hotel," as its breathtaking beauty means guests "can take very pretty pictures from every angle."
There's plenty to do at the family-run Naturhotel Forsthofgut Hotel in Leogang, Salzburger Land, from skiing and spa treatments, to alpaca trekking and helicopter sightseeing.
The five-star hotel sits at the foot of the Leogang Mountains, with incredible views of the Austrian Alps.
In winter, the hotel operates as a ski resort, with the nearest ski lift a minute's walk away, that takes you to the slopes of Asitz.
The resort also makes for a beautiful stay in spring and summer time, with hot air balloon rides, mountain biking, the in-house petting zoo and sunrise hikes.
Travellers who want to book a stay in the Alpine hotel can opt to stay in one of their double rooms, or their isolated alpine hut log cabin in the neighbouring valley, that promises 'no noise and no everyday stress'.

The hotel also offers yoga sessions on platforms in the middle of the forest looking out on the Leongang mountains.
There's also the chance to take horse riding lessons and pony walks, as well as Alpaca walking sessions from €35.
For €650, the hotel will also organise a helicopter sightseeing flight over the snow capped mountains.
The hotel has been run by the same family for five generations - home to the Schmuck family since 1905.
Travel TikToker Jess, who goes by , highlighted the hotel on her account.
Along with a short video of the breathtaking views of the mountains during springtime, she told her 59K followers, 'I've just discovered the prettiest hotel in Europe'.
One guest on TripAdvisor said of their stay: "This hotel looks absolutely breathtaking. This is the ultimate Instagram hotel as you can make very pretty pictures from every angle."
But they did find fault with other aspects of their stay, from the hospitality of staff to the outstanding nature of the food, when taking the high costs of the room rates into account.
Others criticised the cost of some of the activities, which included 88 euros to rent a mountain bike for 90 minutes.
But the hotel has scores of five-star reviews on the site, with others raving about the children's activities or the unique spa treatments, including a "beer and schnapps sauna".
With a 2-night minimum stay, the double rooms start from €240, the suites start from €305, and the luxury suites prices start from €3,000.
