This clever hack allows you to buy a Business Class plane ticket for less than an Economy fare
The clever trick, which combines Air Miles with car hire points, also includes 20 days of motor vehicle rental
IF YOU’VE ever fancied flying Business Class - and let's face it, who hasn’t - but don’t have the cash, a clever new hack might transform your holiday this summer.
A new Air Miles trick allows passengers to fly Business between Europe and Asia or the US for as little as $500 (£400) – cheaper than an Economy ticket.
The scheme, which was discovered by , is a little complicated though – the ticket is bought using Air Miles, which are collected by hiring Hertz cars.
The Scandinavian airline SAS is selling Business Class flights between Europe and the US or Asia for 100,000 air miles.
The most cost-effective way of earning these points at the moment is through the car hire company Hertz, who are offering 5,000 airline miles for every one-day rental.
Gilbert Ott from The Points Guy has revealed that by hiring a car for as little as $25 (£20) for one day, Hertz will give you 5,000 air miles.
So each time you hire a Hertz car, no matter what the cost, you are given 5,000 air miles to put towards a flight.
If you repeat that process 20 times – hiring and returning the car - you’ll have the 100,000 miles needed to buy your posh flight.
