Man photo shames ‘disrespectful’ tourist for putting her bare feet on a headrest during a ferry trip
The woman in Thailand, where it is rude for feet to be pointed at a person or raised higher than someone's head
A THAI local has slammed a female tourist for ignoring his country's etiquette after she was caught with her bare feet resting on the headrest of a ferry seat.
Kunakorn Jailbanjerd posted a picture of the incident to his Facebook page, calling for travellers to "be more respectful".
He captioned the image: "People should be more respectful when they are visitors to other people's countries."
Thai etiquette dictates that the feet should never be pointed at another person or raised higher than someone's head.
It is considered incredibly disrespectful in the Asian nation's culture to put your feet on a desk or chair, as they are seen as "dirty".
Kunakorn's post is the latest in a number of ' tourist shaming' photos that have been shared on social media in recent months.
Last month, 21-year-old Narong Thaopanya publicly shamed a French traveller after she put her "dirty feet" next to his head on a coach trip and refused to move them.
Narong said of the behaviour: "This woman’s face was beautiful but she had no manners.
“The smell from her feet was filling the whole bus – it was hot and made me feel sick, because her feet were next to my head.
"I asked her many times to put her legs on the ground and she would not do it. She just kept them in the air.

"Somebody will have to use the seat and put their head where her dirty feet have been.
"Would she have done this in her own country? People should be more respectful when they are visitors to other people’s countries."
In a separate incident, an airline passenger flying to Ireland was labelled an "ignorant idiot" after she was photographed eating pistachio nuts and throwing the shells on the floor.
The image attracted a number of angry comments from people shocked at the woman's bad behaviour when it was posted on the online forum Reddit.
Ignorant plane passengers were also the target of a series of outrageous tales posted to question-sharing forum Quora.
Among the worst offenders was a woman who wiped pus on the seat in front of her after popping her husband's pimples during the flight.
Also featured was a couple that nearly caused another passenger to have an asthma attack after relentlessly spraying perfume throughout the cabin.
