Singapore Airport is getting an amusement park with slides, a maze and a waterfall
The world's best airport will be adding an indoor jungle theme park to its list of attractions in 2019
BUYING sun cream in Boots is about as exciting as a trip to Heathrow gets - while at Singapore's Changi Airport they're installing an nature-inspired theme park for holidaymakers.
Scheduled to open in 2019, Jewel will feature a five-story indoor garden, a hedge maze, bouncing canopy nets, an enormous waterfall and even indoor clouds.
The tropical garden will be enclosed in a glass and steel structure, with a 131-foot waterfall called the Rain Vortex at its centre.
Visitors will be able to walk on bouncy nets suspended three stories up in the canopy and artificial clouds will float along the forest floor for children to play with.
Large stuffed animals will feature along the garden walkways and the indoor flower garden will include huge floral sculptures.
The new building was designed by award-winning Canadian-Israeli architect Moshe Safdie.
It features attractions by a team from Britain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Singapore, and the United States.

The £1billion project adds to Changi airport's current list of attractions, which already includes a butterfly room, six gardens, video arcades and a children's playground with rides.
Travellers will be able to visit the new attractions when it opens outside Terminal 1 in 2019 - just don't miss your flight getting lost in the hedge maze.
