Etihad passengers flying Economy can now pay to guarantee NO ONE is sat next to them
The new Neighbour-Free Seat’ option will allow people to bid for up to three empty seats next to their original seat
PASSENGERS flying Economy on Etihad Airways will soon be able to pay extra to sit next to an empty seat.
The new Neighbour-Free Seat’ option will allow people to bid for up to three empty seats next to their original seat, subject to availability.
The new scheme would allow travellers to increase their space for less than the original cost of a seat.
Customers would be able to place a bid for the seat when they book their main ticket online and would be notified 30 hours before the flight if successful.
The airline is also opening up its posh airport lounges to Economy passengers – for a price.
Economy Class guests will be able to pay for several Etihad lounges around the world, including its Premium Lounges in Abu Dhabi, London, Manchester, Dublin, Paris, Washington D.C., New York JFK, Sydney, Melbourne and Los Angeles.
Mohammad Al Bulooki, Executive Vice President Commercial for Etihad Airways, said: “On the ground, premium class guests can enjoy free access to Etihad Airways’ collection of outstanding lounges.
