The Californian theme park is trialling three talking characters during meet-and-greets.

This week, Minnie and Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck were touring the park talking to guests.

The characters discussed what it is like to meet a lion on safari with one group of visitors and then asked them to share their best lion roar.

Mickey Mouse has spoken before at Disney World in Florida, onstage at Magic Kingdom's Town Square Theatre.

Unsurprisingly, the talking stars sent fans into a frenzy - video footage has emerged online of overexcited guests unable to contain themselves at finally being able to have a conversation with their idols.

While only three characters are currently talking – if the trial proves successful, it is likely that they will also roll them out to the rest of the parks.
