They want a trip with a difference, with a cabin in the woods or a cabana in the jungle.
Airbnb has revealed their most Wish Listed Homes in the world – and the list includes a riad in Morocco, a private island in Sweden, a cave house in Greece and a jungle lodge in Colombia.
The properties have been shortlisted according to the frequency with which each property appears on guests’ wish lists on Airbnb.
The selection confirms home-sharing website’s Travel Trends Report 2018, which says that travellers are increasingly drawn to homes that are unique and rustic, rather than simply comfortable - read on to find out more...
CANADA: Unique Cob Cottage, Mayne Island
For just £72 a night, this cute cob cottage provides a real nature holiday for two people.
The place has been hand-sculpted using local-sourced materials and looks like something a Hobbit would live in.
The property is also just a ten-minute walk from the beach.
ECUADOR: Artistic Apartment with Panoramic Views, Quito
For £63 a night, this apartment is available to rent for two people in a restored old house in the colonial centre, with wonderful views over the historic town.
The owner is an Ecuadorian artist who has designed the interior and decorated the flat with some of his works and antique pieces.
COLOMBIA: Romantic Cabana in Lush Forest, Armenia
For £31 a night, two guests can rent this cabana made from bamboo in the Andean mountains of Colombia.
The property is situated on a small organic farm that grows tropical fruits and trees, flowers, with aloe vera as the main crop.
There is an enchanting pathway through the bamboo forest, leading down to a mountain stream and a small waterfall.
BRAZIL: House with a View in Praia do Felix, Ubatuba
For £233 a night, this four-bed house made from wood and glass is available for up to eight people.
The modern design of the building was built to make the most of the sea views and the tranquillity of the forest.
Guests only need to make a 300-metre walk to reach a local beach.

For £165 a night, this one-bedroom cottage has stunning lake views from a small island in Saxarfjärden.
The cottage offers guests the chance to get back to nature – it can only be reached by taxi boat and the shower is outdoors.
Visitors have their own private jetty and access to a shared wooded sauna and shared dock.

For £46 a night, guests can rent this one-bed suite in the UNESCO Heritage city of Valparaiso, Chile.
The suite is on the third floor of a restored house that is more than 100 years old and was built with red wood from Oregon and Chilean oak at the beginning of the 20th century.
The apartment has one bedroom and bathroom, with a balcony and a veranda overlooking the bay and the hills of Valparaiso.
