Disneyland Paris is getting a new Marvel-themed attraction… as the US theme parks raise their prices once again
Fans of the comics and film franchise will also be able to stay in a Marvel-themed hotel at the French theme park
DISNEY fans rejoice – there’s going to be a new Marvel-based attraction at Disneyland Paris.
Marvel’s superheroes will be brought to life at the Paris park in a ride called Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith.
Riders will get the chance to team up with the Avengers, including Iron Man on what’s being dubbed a “high-speed, hyper-kinetic adventure”.
The ride, featuring Aerosmith, already exists at Disneyland Paris - and it's currently the fastest roller coaster in France - but it's getting Marvel makeover for 2018.
It follows the changes to Disneyland's Tower Of Terror ride last year - which was transformed into the Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: Breakout! attraction.
The Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster isn't the only Disneyland Paris attraction to get a makeover - the French theme park's Hotel New York is also being redone as Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art Of Marvel.
A first glimpse at one of the plans for the hotel shows a room filled with pictures of the Marvel superheroes.
The announcement of the new Marvel makeovers was made at the D23 Expo Japan, where 2,000 guests heard the latest in all things Disney.
It's not all good news though - prices at Disney parks in the US are going up.
This is due to the high costs of building the much-anticipated Star Wars parks, reports the .
If you're headed to Disneyland in California then the least-expensive annual pass is now $729 (£526), up from $619 (£447).
If you're buying a Signature Plus pass, which includes free parking and speedy boarding for rides, you'll now pay $1,149 (£830) per year, up from $1,049 (£758).
Meanwhile day tickets are up by 9 per cent.
A statement from Disney reads: "We know how important making memories at Disney theme parks is to our guests and we will continue to evolve our pricing in a way that gives them a range of options to meet their budget and helps better spread attendance throughout the year so they can make the most of every visit."
To be fair to Disney, they are ploughing some serious cash into their parks at the moment, thanks to the likes of Star Wars Land and Toy Story Land.
Fans of Mickey and Minnie Mouse will be pleased to know that the characters are finally getting their own ride at Disney World called Mickey and Minnie's Runway Railway.
The attraction, which will replace The Great Movie Ride at the replica of the Chinese Theater, will put visitors inside the wacky and unpredictable world of a Mickey Mouse cartoon short.
On the Runaway Railway, guests will step through the movie screen to join Mickey, Minnie and their friends.

On the ride, guests are the star of the show - where they are made to feel like anything can happen, with surprising twists and turns, and visual effects.
The attraction is inspired by the Mickey Shorts that you can see on the Disney Channel, and the ride engineers are working with the Disney Television Animation department to make it as realistic as possible.
