Yet he checked in, passed security checks and was ushered from the gate to the plane.

Cabin crew discovered the truth only when he rowed with a woman he said was in his seat.

It was only when cabin crew double checked his pass the error was realised and he was escorted off the Ryanair flight.

The cabin crew discovered the man had turned up just under a month early.

Despite being booked to travel on October 6, he had managed to get all the way onto the flight that was on September 6.

He had seemingly gone through two ground checks at the airport prior to boarding the plane, neither of which picked up he wasn't booked on the flight that day.

Ryanair said: “We have asked our gate agent to ensure it does not recur.”
