Holidaymaker ridiculed for complaining about ROCK on Cornish beach

A HOLIDAYMAKER  has been ridiculed after complaining about the presence of a rock - on a beach.

The unnamed beach-goer demanded action be taken to remove the "hazard" after she injured her leg as it was "hidden by the waves."

Her review of Lusty Glaze beach in Newquay, Cornwall, said "something needed to be done" about the rock.

Alongside a picture of her bloodied shins she wrote: "It is a gorgeous place BUT there is a big rock in the middle part of the beach which is so dangerous.

"I remember my jet ski instructor warned me about it a few years ago and I was there last week for a swim and I fell over it and badly injured my leg.

"Something needs to be done about this rock as it is covered with beautiful waves and nobody can see it."

The review, was posted online by the owners of Lusty Glaze alongside a picture of the bloodied leg.

A spokesperson for the owners said: "We recently received a post from a lady who sadly had hurt her leg on the rock in the middle of the beach.

"This sparked a lengthy discussion from our team about some of the comments we've received over the years - 'What time do the waves start?' 'When will the dolphins appear?' - and many more.

"Not sure what we can do about our little natural feature but we hope this lady gets well soon."

The Lusty Glaze post attracted a flurry of comments from unsympathetic beach regulars.

Dawn Wilder wrote: "The world has crazy. It's a huge rock in the middle of the beach, what exactly does she expect you do to?"

Heather Green wrote: "Oh my goodness. Maybe you could put flashing lights on it or maybe a lighthouse."

Anthony Horswill added: "Gotta say Lusty Glaze maybe you could be more sympathetic and help resolve possibly by covering the rock in bubble wrap and painting it a day glow colour.

The unhappy beach-goer made just the latest bizarre complaint about beaches in Cornwall over the summer.

Last month one user at Perranporth Beach was also widely ridiculed after they complained that the sand was "too damp for building sandcastles."

Last summer, a Mumsnet user shared list of holiday complaints from her "miserable b*****d husband" during a trip abroad, including the beach being "too sandy."

Earlier this year, a Brit tourist demanded a refund after her Benidorm holiday was ruined by "too many Spanish people."
