BRITS seeking a pre-summer holiday bargain should look at Malta for a cheap week in the sun.

A seven-night trip to the stunning island is available for just £114pp, including return flights and accommodation in a four-star hotel.

The is currently available when travelling from Birmingham Airport on March 13 with Ryanair.

You will be staying at the , which overlooks the water with a tennis court, gym, games room and sauna to enjoy as well as an indoor and outdoor pool.

It is located near the ferry terminal for those hoping to head to the island of Gozo for the day, a destination popular with history fans and scuba divers.

Sadly the island’s most famous attraction, the Azure Window was destroyed in 2017 after stormy weather caused it to collapse.

Otherwise Paradise Bay beach is less than a mile away, and likely to be much quieter during the shoulder season.

With temperatures up to 18 degrees in March on the island, some spring sun is also very likely.

Other things to do on the island include Popeye Village, from the 1980 musical production with Robin Williams and the Manoel Theatre, which dates back to 1731.

The holiday is also ATOL-protected, to reassure worried Brits that their money is protected.

Hand luggage, transfers and priority boarding can all be added on for an additional cost, as can breakfast and dinner options.
