PARKING MAD

Airport parking in London can cost £150 more than in Edinburgh over a fortnight

FOR families, driving can often be the cheapest and most convenient way of getting to the airport.

But when you factor in airport parking, the costs quickly stack up - and the difference between one airport car park and another can literally be the cost of a holiday.

Based on the prices quoted by the official airport car parks for long stays, their research revealed that London City Airport is the most expensive UK airport to park while Edinburgh is the cheapest.

Parking during the peak summer holiday dates costs £196.50 at London City Airport while the same dates costs just £43.99 at Edinburgh.

It's a difference of £152.51 - a staggering amount considering a week-long holiday can start from less than £99 per person.
