But he has never known what happened or how it left Mandy unable to have biological children.

However that is all set to change soon when he overhears Mandy opening up about her loss after hearing Tracy Metcalfe is pregnant.

Lisa explains: "Mandy finds out Tracy is pregnant in the café, it really hits a nerve and she just wants to be on her own, everyone is annoying her.

"We see her vulnerable side with that, she needs alone time. That bubble is burst so she goes home intending to tell Lydia but she ends up being at
work but Vinny is there and he is probing her.

"He asks what’s wrong and she admits the pregnancy brings back all the things she will never have.

"And the rawness that she could lose Vinny brings it back that she can’t have another child. But unbeknown to them, Paul is sitting on the staircase and hears the entire conversation."

She added: "It's news to him because he had no idea Mandy was pregnant with his child when he left.

"Then we’ll see unfold what Paul thinks about that because Mandy had her reasons for keeping it a secret and she would never have told him."

Mandy's loss was first revealed in the lockdown episode with Mandy and Vinny in the salon as she admitted it was the most scared she had ever been and has never gotten over it.

But Lisa doesn't think the couple could have a happy ending - because Paul walks all over Mandy.

She said: "Vulnerability is in her DNA to be unlucky in love. Full of bravado, camp and fun but when love is concerned is a bit of a doormat.

"Men walk all over her, she gives too much too quickly. She just wants to be loved, people like that get stung and burnt and that’s what this storyline portrays."
